Sculptor Torello Ambucci [Ambuchi] was born around 1807 in Florence. Having lived and worked in Paris, he arrived in London in June 1848 and two years later married Maria Isaacson. Ambucci worked and exhibited in London until 1862. He was a fashionable sculptor in high society circles. Between 1851 and 1855 he was living at no. 14 Salisbury Place, Marylebone. By 1860 he resided in Pimlico. Little is known of what happened to him later in life.
